Meteorlogix Launches AviationWatch at NBAA

'Smart Weather' Delivered On the Ground, On the Road, In the Air

Meteorlogix, the world’s largest commercial weather services provider, just announced the release of AviationWatch(tm) at the National Business Administration Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting and Convention. AviationWatch provides "Smart Weather" briefing and alerting capabilities to pilots on the ground, on the road, and in the cockpit.

On the ground, Meteorlogix 'Smart Weather' powers MxVision AviationSentry(tm) FBOs, corporate flight departments, and helicopter operations. The PC-based weather system is designed to give pilots fast, accurate and comprehensive briefings.

'Smart Weather' functionality includes PrecipTimer(tm), an exclusive capability providing the exact start and stop times of precipitation at specific locations, such as an airport or FBO. Alarms can be set to give advanced warning of approaching severe weather. In addition, Lightning Manager(tm) monitors real-time lightning strikes and sounds an alarm when a strike occurs within a designated coverage area.

On the road, MxVision AviationSentry Online(tm) gives pilots access to a full-featured weather briefing wherever they have access to the Internet. The online product offers pilots continuity with the same visual display as the PC-based product.

The 'Smart Weather' functionality provides a mobile 'tap on the shoulder' with customizable, location-based weather monitoring and alerts delivered via cell phone or pager.

In the air, Meteorlogix services come to you through leading organizations which deliver its 'Smart Weather' to the cockpit, including Control Vision, Echo Flight/Garmin, ARINC, and ARNAV. Using existing ground-to-air datalink capabilities (voice or text), pilots receive real-time, location-specific weather information and alerts in the cockpit. With thousands of pilots relying on 'Smart Weather' everyday, Meteorlogix has quickly established itself as the leader for in-cockpit weather.

"The introduction of our patent-pending 'Smart Weather' briefings and alerting capabilities for
pilots on the ground and in the air is another example of our commitment to delivering breakthrough solutions to the aviation industry," said Robert Gordon, chief executive officer, Meteorlogix.
