Trutrak Offers A 2.25 Inch Autopilot Called Vizion

Fully Integrated With ATS Avionics

By Tom Woodward

Trutrak has added to their Sorcerer autopilot line their Vizion 385 Autopilot in a 2.25" round or flat pack cut-out. The Vizion 385 features a emergency AP level feature, built-in ground track DG, GPS Nav mode, lateral GPS steering, altitude mode, vertical speed select, altitude select, AFS or G3X remote control, control wheel steering and pitch trim annunciation. Trutrax also offers a single axis version.

"We are in the very early stages of discussion to certification of our products," said Trutrak COO, Andrew Barker. With the purchase of AFS by Dynon discussions are also ongoing for full integration with Dynon.

Also available is Trutrak's KTR2 Digital Comm Radio, with low standby power consumption and 6 watt transmitter power. Build in conjunction with Dittle Avionix of Germany, it offers standby frequency monitoring and VOX intercom. Weighing less than a pound and fitting into a 2.25" round cut-out the KTR2 features 6 watts of transmitting power, standby frequency monitoring, two microphone inputs, auxiliary audio input and 100 channel memory.

Retail price for the KRT2 is $1,250. Prices for the Vizion series autopilot are from $1,700 to $3,300 depending on model and accessories.
