HBC Expands Global Parts Distribution Through Schenker Logistics Agreement

Also Joins With EADS SECA On Engine Maintenance In Asia And EMEA Regions

Hawker Beechcraft Corporation's (HBC) Global Customer Support (GCS) has signed an agreement with Schenker Logistics to facilitate international parts distribution in London, Dubai and Singapore, the company said Monday. HBC has identified and assigned inventories of the most widely ordered and preferred spare parts, valued at more than $40 million, to be maintained at facilities in these three locations. The agreement is part of a multi-phase strategy aimed at improving the experience of Hawker Beechcraft owners by making factory parts more accessible internationally.

"This partnership is a major step toward our goals of providing parts support to all areas of the world while also setting the industry standard for customer support and service," said Christi Tannahill, HBC vice president, Global Customer Support. "This relationship provides for a path to expand our parts and distribution facilities worldwide as our fleet continues to grow in all areas of the world. By teaming with Schenker, we are able to offer our network of authorized service providers and our operators expedited dispatching of critical parts, real-time tracking and round-the-clock availability from a regional source. We are leveraging Schenker's world-class infrastructure to strengthen our own."

Schenker Logistics is part of DB Schenker, one of the world's leading international providers of integrated logistics services with more than 2,000 worldwide locations. Schenker provides support to trade and industry in the global exchange of goods - in land operations, in worldwide air and sea freight, and in all other associated logistics services. The company has about 88,000 employees in 130 countries.

In a related announcement Monday, (HBC) Global Customer Support (GCS) unveiled an agreement with one of Europe's foremost engine maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities, EADS SECA, to serve as its preferred engine maintenance service provider for Asia and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. As a fully authorized Pratt & Whitney and Honeywell engine service provider, EADS SECA is uniquely positioned to provide engine services for all active Hawker and King Air aircraft models.

"EADS SECA's long-standing reputation as a leader in providing quality engine service and highly responsive support will provide our customers and service facilities in the region with an additional level of confidence," said Christi Tannahill, HBC vice president, Global Customer Support. "This relationship is aligned with our commitment to provide world-class customer support in all areas of the world and has the added benefit of addressing anticipated demand that will develop as the market expands throughout parts of Eastern Europe and Asia where the aircraft population is expected to grow rapidly."

Located in Gonesse, France, near both Le Bourget and Charles de Gaulle Airports, EADS SECA is licensed to perform all levels of scheduled and unscheduled engine maintenance, including the full range of required service from line to hot section inspections, major periodic checks to engine overhauls and core zone inspections.
