First Of Their Kind In Mexico With 86 Seats
Aeromexico has added three Embraer 175 planes to its fleet, making it the first national airline in the country to operate this aircraft. As part of the plan for the renovation of its fleet, the aircraft, with 86 seats in one single class, will gradually replace the Embraer 145 planes with 50 seats.

145 Members Of Congress Sign Letter To Administrator Pistole
The Coalition of Flight Attendant Unions are supporting efforts led by Representatives Ed Markey (D-MA) and Michael Grimm (R-NY) to prevent TSA from allowing certain short-blade knives to be carried onto commercial airplanes. The two members of Congress wrote a letter to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) on the issue that was signed by 143 additional members of Congress.

Ten Of The Airplanes Ordered In January Of This Year
Rolls-Royce has won an order from US leasing company CIT Aerospace for Trent XWB engines to power ten Airbus A350 XWB aircraft and Trent 700 engines to power 13 Airbus A330 aircraft. The Trent XWB engines will power ten CIT A350 aircraft that were announced in January 2013 which were in addition to five A350 XWB aircraft already on order.

Both Airbus and Boeing had problems with their flagship products ... the A380 and the Dreamliner, respectively, and Congress passes legislation that will require far more experience for airline pilots. Europe blinked when it came to implementation of its Emissions Trading Schedule, and Boeing racked up some record orders, mostly for its re-engined 737 MAX.
