Textron Completes Acquisition Of Beechcraft

Integrates Cessna, Beechcraft And Hawker Aircraft Brands Into New “Textron Aviation” Business Segment

The deed is finally done, and for now, the Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker names will continue to live on ... under the Textron umbrella. Textron has announced that it has closed its acquisition of Beech Holdings, LLC, the parent of Beechcraft Corporation, and that it will bring together its Cessna business and Beechcraft to form a new segment called Textron Aviation. Cessna and Beechcraft together produced about $4.6 billion in revenues during 2013.

Two UAVs Put To The Test In South Texas

Texas A&M FAA Test Site Prepares For Operation

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi continued its preparations to be fully operational as one of only six federal test sites for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) with another series of test flight missions this week over South Texas ranchland. Researchers have been conducting missions twice a day with the University’s RS-16 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), and another UAV owned by American Aerospace Advisors.
