A reduction in the number of expected deliveries in 2009 plus an excess of used aircraft on the market have combined to make tough times for Bombardier, spurring last week's announcement of the planned elimination of 3,000 more jobs by the end of this year, in addition to 1,360 positions cut in February.

The primary purpose of The F-14 Tomcat Association is to maintain contact among the members of the Tomcat community, keep members informed of developments in Naval Aviation, provide support to museums where F-14s are on display, and sponsor annual reunions of the F-14 family. Membership is open to anyone who has flown, worked on, or just plain love the F-14 aircraft.
