Jurors Hand Moussaoui Life In Prison For Role In 9/11

The jury has spoken... and confessed al-Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui will not be sentenced to death for what prosecutors said was Moussaoui's role in the attacks on 9/11. Moussaoui will instead serve a life sentence in federal prison, without the possibility of parole.

Expedition 14 To Include Two Veterans, First-Timer

A veteran of three spaceflights will be joined by a resident of the International Space Station, and an astronaut making her first flight into space when Expedition 14 lifts off later this year, NASA officials announced Tuesday.

Over 63 Percent Of Pilots Voted For Deal

Calling the agreement "a painful but necessary part of a successful restructuring of Northwest Airlines," ALPA Master Executive Council Chairman Mark McClain issued a statement Wednesday morning to announce that, by a 63 percent majority, pilots at Northwest have voted to ratify their new five-and-a-half year contract with the airline.

Last week, several media sources -- including Aero-News -- picked up on a story from the New York Times regarding the idea that airlines could one day install near-vertical "seats" against the walls and bulkheads of their airliners, creating room for additional passengers to stand -- held in place by harnesses -- for the entire flight. On Tuesday, the paper issued a retraction of that story -- stating that while preparing the article, the Times' questions to Airbus were "imprecise."
