New Honeywell Maintenance Program Helps Manage Major Aircraft Expenses

Extended Repair And Replacement Program Provides Additional Global Support Options For Gulfstream And Pilatus Platforms

Honeywell introduced the Mechanical Protection Plan (MPP) Thursday at EBACE. The new extended repair and replacement program is designed to help customers avoid downtime while driving predictable and manageable maintenance costs. The program will cover Environmental Control Systems and Cabin Pressure Control Systems (ECS/CPCS) for select Gulfstream and Pilatus models. It is expected to be available starting in Q3 2011.

“The Honeywell MPP extended repair and replacement program is the smart choice for pilots and operators seeking to minimize the risk related to repairs and replacement parts, plus the added expense of worldwide coverage,” said Tony Brancato, Vice President, Business and General Aviation Aftermarket at Honeywell. “Honeywell is proactively offering these types of extended repair and replacement programs and services so that operators can select the best option for managing their maintenance budgets while reducing the complexity of their operations.”

Providing coverage for mechanical parts, the MPP repair and replacement program offers extra peace of mind for operators and pilots of ECS/CPCS systems on many different aircraft platforms including the following Gulfstream models: G350, G450, G500, G550, GV, G400, GIV and GIVSP. Pilatus models include the PC-12 and the PC-12 NG.

MPP extended repair and replacement builds on other well established Honeywell maintenance programs such as the Maintenance Service Plan (MSP), the most widely used engine and APU maintenance program in business aviation, and the Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP), enhancing the maintenance management choices available to operators.

The extended repair and replacement program also offers full coverage on exchange and repair services at a predictable fixed price. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) emergency service, paid air-freight and no charge loaner parts. It does not require a buy-in and is fully transferable should an aircraft be sold.

In addition, the program uses a network of global supply depots and Honeywell’s Spares Exchange Program (SPEX) to get customers airborne as soon as possible. As part of the SPEX program, spare parts are made available in case a customer needs them at short notice.
