SJ30-2 'Hitting All Its Marks'

Hot-Rod Corporate Jet Achieves Promised Performance Goals

Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation (SSAC) tells ANN that their SJ30-2 is meeting or exceeding a series of promised performance specifications on the eve of an impending Type Certificate award by the FAA.

The new SJ30-2 jet aircraft is now about to enter the aviation world with FAA certification due by the end of the year. Sino-Swearingen boasts that, "everything about (the SJ30-2) spells futuristic; with jet speeds and range years ahead of its time, fighter aircraft looks, an ultra high speed of Mach .83 (486 kts, 560 mph), faster than all light business jets in production, and currently announced, coupled with a range of 2,888 sm (2,512 nm) also places the SJ30-2 as the longest range light business jet on the planet."

Bob Kromer, Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporations Senior Manager of Flight Operations and Flight Test, commented, "It's wonderful to see the achievement of all our performance goals. The entire Flight Test team worked very hard to make this announcement possible. We have developed an airplane that will give our customers the ultimate in speed, range, altitude capability and endurance. Saving time is what corporate aviation is all about. With all superb performance numbers now verified for the SJ30-2, customers will be able to travel quickly, comfortably and more efficiently than ever before in any other business jet in our price range. We've delivered to our customers what we promised. We hope they enjoy the wonderful ride the SJ30-2 delivers."

John Siemens, Senior Engineering Test Pilot for the SJ30-2 commented, "It is good to know that our extensive flight test program has resulted in validation of our design goals. The SSAC test team has performed numerous tests to determine optimized performance. We know that the SJ30-2 will outperform the competition and give our customers what they expect in range, speed and field length performance -- exactly what we promised!"

Mario Asselin, Manager Flight Sciences, Weight, and Future Programs added, "The SJ30-2 has met its design goals because of the hard work of a dedicated team that combined the knowledge and expertise from every discipline of the aerospace industry. The SJ30-2 represents the best combination of airframe and engines from a performance standpoint. It achieves the best takeoff speed and distance, climb, cruise, and landing performance for a given payload-range. It has been demonstrated to be safe in all corners of the flight envelope by company and FAA pilots. I am proud to be part of the team that has worked on this aircraft."

Something To Brag About

Among the promises made (and kept) by the SJ30-2, the jet claims...

  • World's Longest Range Light Business Jet - 2,888 SM
  • World's Fastest Light Business Jet - Mach .83 (560 MPH)
  • World's Highest Altitude Light Business Jet - 49,000 FT
  • World's Best Pressurization - 12 PSI
  • Stall Speed - 91 Kts
  • Typical Landing, Vref - 105 Kts
  • Balanced Field Typical 3,585 FT

Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation is finalizing the FAA certification of the new SJ30-2 twinjet aircraft at its international headquarters and manufacturing facilities in San Antonio Texas, with over 600 employees in four facilities totaling over 220,000 sq ft in the USA Coast to Coast. SSAC continued spectacular acceleration toward the FAA certification, when it received the FAA final TIA recently, and is projected to obtain the FAA TC (Type Certification) on time, during the fourth quarter of 2005.
