Ann M. Testa Tapped For Top Houston Security Post
TSA has named Ann M. Testa as Federal Security Director for
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (KIAH).
Testa brings nearly 35 years of leadership experience and
service to the United States. Prior to joining TSA, Testa worked
for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in various leadership
roles. Most recently, she served as the Acting Executive Director,
Enterprise Networks and Technology Support, for CBP's Office of
Information and Technology. In that position, she was responsible
for enterprise architecture, design, and management of CBP's
network infrastructures, with more than 2,300 employees and a
budget over $410 million.
She also served in the United States Air Force for more than 27
years, retiring as a Colonel in December 2001. She commanded at
various levels, including Squadron Officer College Commander,
Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.; Wing Commander, Hickam Air Force
Base, Hawaii; and Support Group Commander, Kadena Air Base,
Okinawa.
"Ms. Testa will be a tremendous asset to the Transportation
Security Administration in Houston," said Lee Kair, TSA's Assistant
Administrator for the Office of Security Operations. "Her
leadership capabilities, as well as her past experience within the
Department of Homeland Security, make her a natural fit as Federal
Security Director. We are delighted that she will help lead the
organization into the next decade."
Testa graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and obtained a Master
of Science Degree in Human Resources Management from the State
University of New York. She is a Harvard Senior Executive Fellow
and an E-Government Senior Fellow.
