Boasts Breakthrough Trihull Aircraft Technology
Harbor Aviation, which
describes itself as an aviation technology company, tells ANN that
it has developed a patent-pending design technology that allows
aircraft to efficiently take off and land from water and
conventional runways and airstrips. The innovative high-speed
amphibious aircraft is capable of cruising at the same speeds as
business jets and solves the problems currently associated with
conventional air travel.
Developed for more than four years with strategic partner Kenmore
Air, Harbor Aviation’s technology paves the way for
inter-city air service to be based from waterfront locations.
Door-to-door delivery times will be shorter than many of the
check-in and waiting times for conventional aircraft at
airports.
Inter-city aircraft shuttle service could deliver passengers
from Manhattan to the Chicago waterfront in as little as 140
minutes, or Los Angeles to San Francisco Bay in just 70
minutes.
This revolutionary design is flexible and adaptable
to a variety of aircraft of various sizes – from small kit
planes to 50 seat regional aircraft. Aircraft built using this
design technology will also connect small towns and suburbs to
large airports and use existing marinas and docks for passenger
service.
“There are currently no plans to accommodate
the growth of air travel in the U.S., while growing passenger
traffic is resulting in longer delays and heavily congested
airports,” said Russell Belden, Harbor Aviation’s
president.
“Our technology will offer a real alternative to the
airport, and enable passengers to travel more quickly and
comfortably than ever before.” Harbor Aviation intends
to license their patent-pending technology to aircraft
manufacturers and designers for specific aircraft classes or
sizes.
