Upgraded: Raymond Greer

Kitty Hawk Names Greer To Its Board Of Directors

Kitty Hawk, Inc. says it's appointed Raymond B. Greer to its Board of Directors.

Greer, a veteran of the transportation industry, is currently president and CEO for Transport Industries Holdings, Inc. (TIH), a $650M privately held non-asset based logistic and transportation services company based in Irving, Texas. 

"Throughout his business career, Ray Greer has been at the forefront of innovation and execution for global supply-chain management, multi-modal logistics and information technology," said Robert W. Zoller, President and CEO of Kitty Hawk, Inc.  "Ray’s professional and personal interests as well as industry experience will make him a valuable asset to Kitty Hawk’s team members, leadership, Board of Directors and customers as we continue to develop new strategic initiatives within an ever-changing industry environment" said Gerald L. Gitner, Kitty Hawk’s non-executive chairman of the board.

Prior to joining TIH, Greer served as president and CEO for Newgistics, Inc., an industry leader in reverse logistics solutions; president -– Global Network Solutions and Services for i2 Technologies, Inc.; and chairman and CEO of Esurg Corporation, a leading e-commerce provider for medical-based technology solutions, supplies and information services.  From 1994 to 2000, Greer served with Ryder Systems, Inc., most notably as the president of Ryder’s integrated logistics & transportation business; from 1983 to 1994, he served with FedEx Corporation in various line and corporate staff positions, including the position of global contract director for the semi-conductor industry within FedEx logistics.

Greer has numerous industry recognitions, including "Top CEO" by VarBusiness Magazine; "Outstanding Contributor To Logistics Education" -– Council of Logistics Management; and, "Rising Star of Our Time" – Forbes magazine.  In addition, Greer has earned an Executive Masters Degree, Information Systems & Telecommunications -– Christian Brothers University and Bachelor of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science –- University of Utah.  He currently serves on the Newgistics Inc. Advisory Board and the Lassonde Venture Board, University of Utah, School of Business.
