Rockwell Collins Extends Pro Line 4 To Pro Line 21 Upgrade Program

Now Available For Astra SPX, G100, Lear 60 Aircraft

A retrofit upgrade program involving the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 avionics systems has expanded to include Astra SPX, Gulfstream G100 (formerly Astra SPX), and Bombardier Lear 60 aircraft. The announcement was made Wednesday at the 55th Annual Aircraft Electronics Association’s (AEA) Convention and Trade Show in Washington, D.C.

The upgrade replaces the legacy Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays in Astra SPX, G100 and Lear 60 aircraft with the latest in liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. Operators will benefit from the latest avionics capabilities while extending the life and enhancing the value of their aircraft.

The Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 display upgrade solution, also available for Falcon 50EX/2000/2000EX, Beechjet 400A and Hawker 400XP aircraft, features three or four large, configurable 10- by 8-inch LCDs that include Rockwell Collins’ Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS). With IFIS, pilots have access to high resolution electronic charts, XM graphical weather, including NEXRAD, lightning data, satellite images and winds aloft, and enhanced navigation maps.

In addition, operators that upgrade to Pro Line 21 join a large and growing family of over 4,000 aircraft operators that are positioned to accommodate future technology changes - including ADS-B out and Datalink mandates - due to the system’s open architecture design.
