Nashua Flight Simulator Earns Important Validation

Approved As Recurrent Training Center By Insurance Companies

Aero-News has learned Nashua Flight Simulator was recently approved by several aviation insurance organizations to conduct recurrent training for single and twin-engine piston aircraft including the following high-performance models: Beechcraft Baron 55/58, Piper Seneca, and the Beech King Air 90, 100 and 200.

The insurance companies that have granted status to Nashua Flight Simulator as an approved school for underwriting include: Avemco Insurance Company, US Specialty, Inter Aero and Aerospace Insurance Managers. Nashua is currently under review by Phoenix Aviation Managers and Global Aerospace and is expected to have those full approvals by the end of April. In addition, the Bonanza Pilot Proficiency Program is also evaluating Nashua as a provider of recurrent training for their organizational instructors.

"There is no other training center in the Northeast like ours. And now our customers can enjoy insurance credits for simulator training. Our Elite iGate simulator systems are dependable, realistic, affordable and most important, cost effective for the pilots and the aircraft owner" stated Stephen Cunningham, managing partner of F & C Marketing Group of NH, owner and operator of Nashua Flight Simulator.

"Ten hours of flight training in a simulator, coupled with the ground training, is conducted in one of our two state-of-the art, FAA-approved, Elite iGate AATD, level 3, flight simulators," Cunningham continued. "Our staff of instructors has a combined 72,000 hours of flight experience including two former airline pilots, a current regional airline chief pilot and several corporate flight department pilots plus other experienced CFIIs and IGI's."

Each airframe recurrent training program involves 10 hours of ground training in ATC & Emergencies, Aircraft Systems and Weather, FAR/AIM Regulations. Nashua's recurrent training programs utilize relevant and specific aircraft systems manuals, pilot operating handbooks (POH) and the FAR/AIM. Each recurrent program incorporates a thorough experience in the normal, abnormal and emergency flight condition profiles, including every conceivable weather circumstance.

Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) is integrated into the recurrent training process. Each customer is held accountable to demonstrate his or her proficiency to the relevant PTS (Practical Test Standards) prior to logbook endorsement and the issuance of a Certificate of Proficiency.
