Will Support US And Latin American Airlines
Alteon Training announced this week it will place a Boeing 787
training suite, including a full-flight simulator, at its training
center in Miami, FL. The Miami training center will be ready for
training in March 2010 to meet the training requirements of
airlines based in Latin America and the United States.
Prior to moving to Miami, the training suite will be installed
at the Alteon Seattle training center... where the first 787 full
flight simulator was installed in January of this year.
The Alteon 787 training suite includes full flight and flat
panel simulators and desktop simulation systems, offering complete
training services for flight and maintenance training. This initial
installment will support the introduction of the 787 airplane into
the market place, bringing the number of 787 suites in Seattle to
two during the introductory period.
"We will have two training suites available in Seattle to
support customer introduction of the Dreamliner. This will ensure
our customers receive the training they need to maximize the use of
their 787 fleet," said Alteon President Sherry Carbary. "We
continue to work closely with Boeing and our customers to determine
the locations where 787 training will be most needed as the 787
fleets grow around the world. By 2010, Miami will be an important
location to serve our customers’ ongoing training needs."
Alteon previously announced it would install 787 training suites
in Tokyo, London, Shanghai and Singapore as well as Seattle and
Minneapolis/St. Paul.
A wholly-owned Boeing subsidiary, Alteon Training is an industry
leader in providing airline-focused aviation training
solutions.
