NBAA Has Prepared a Study Guide for the Certified Airport
Manager Test
The National Business
Aviation Association (NBAA) Certification Steering Committee is
pleased to announce the release of the new Certified Aviation
Manager (CAM) Study Guide. The purpose of the CAM Study Guide is to
assist the applicant in preparing to take the Certified Aviation
Manager Examination, which will be offered for the first time on
Monday, October 6, 2003, in Orlando (FL).
Provided on CD-ROM, the CAM Study Guide provides a description
of the CAM Exam, a list of suggested primary and secondary
reference material, practice exam questions and study tips. Many of
the suggested primary references as well as a copy of the CAM
Exam Application also are included on this CD-ROM.
CAM Exam questions will be updated on a regular basis in
response to changes in corporate philosophies, strategic visions
and government regulations. In turn, the CAM Study Guide --
including practice exam questions and primary references provided
-- also will be revised on an annual basis to ensure that it is
up-to-date and in line with changes made to the exam.
NBAA developed the
Certified Aviation Manager (CAM) Program for individuals either
currently leading business flight departments or aspiring to do so,
to enhance their professional credibility and to recognize them for
meeting certain educational and management requirements. A
fundamental purpose of the CAM Program is to promote the interests
of business aviation stakeholders -- including employers, direct
users of the corporate flight department and others such as the
general public -- by identifying and certifying flight department
managers who have successfully demonstrated knowledge and skills in
the management of business aviation.
Certification will be granted to an individual applicant only
after the knowledge and/or skill of the individual has been
evaluated and determined to meet certification criteria. The
certification of individuals through the CAM Program will improve
the professionalism of business aviation, shape the industry and
its standards, establish the direction for its future, and enhance
the level of management skills for all managers within a flight
department.
Applications for the October 6 CAM Exam date must be
mailed to NBAA postmarked no later than next Tuesday, July
8.
