New Seat Will Be Available In The Fourth Quarter Of 2009
Take a seat... literally. Embraer will offer its Phenom 100 jet
customers a new seat with enhanced comfort in form and function,
beginning in the fourth quarter of 2009. “Embraer is
continuously committed to delivering premium comfort and stylish
design throughout its entire product line,” said
Maurício Almeida Filho, Embraer Vice-President, Programs
– Executive Jets. “The new seats for the Phenom 100
will enhance both passenger comfort and convenience.”
Following Embraer’s strategy to consistently improve its
products and increase customer satisfaction, the new seats will
feature several enhancements to passenger comfort as well as to
cabin mobility.
The stylish design developed in partnership with BMW Group
DesignworksUSA will distinguish the new seats, which will offer
ergonomically improved cushions and lumbar support structures. Each
one will include an armrest that discretely retracts into the seat
contour, streamlined to expand the aisle width. A partial folding
capability in the seat adjacent to the aircraft entrance will
further facilitate entry and exit from the cabin. Wisconsin-based
DeCrane Aerospace Aircraft Seating is the supplier for the current
and new seats. The company’s development and certification
schedule will enable Embraer to begin incorporating the new seats
as a standard item in the Phenom 100 that will be delivered in the
fourth quarter of 2009.
Customers who have already received or will yet receive their
Phenom 100 with the current seats will be offered special
commercial conditions for retrofitting the new seats as of the
first quarter of 2010.
