FAA Certifies Gulfstream G650

Company Says The Aircraft Sets A New Standard For Business Aviation

Following on the heels of the certification of the G280, Gulfstream's ultra-large-cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650 business-jet aircraft received a type certificate Friday from the FAA. The certification verifies the airworthiness of the aircraft’s design. Gulfstream expects to deliver the first fully outfitted G650 business jets to customers before year-end. The company has received more than 200 orders for the aircraft.

Two FAA Managers Allegedly Urged Workers To Vote For Democrats

ANN has been hearing bits and pieces of this story for a number of weeks, but now a political watchdog and transparency group called "Cause of Action" (CoA) has released documents it says reveals a potential Hatch Act violation at the FAA involving John J. Hickey, deputy associate administrator for aviation safety at the FAA, and Raymond Towles, deputy director of flight standards field operations. US Airways Jet Returns To Philadelphia After Explosives Threat

Airplane Was Flying To DFW With 69 Passengers And Five Crew

A US Airways flight en route to Dallas-Fort Worth from Philadelphia turned around and landed back at KPHL after the airline received a tip that there were explosive liquids on board. TSA spokesman Dave Castelveter said the flight was recalled "due to a report of a suspicious item" on the airplane.
