Nextant Aerospace today announced the first flight of a fully

Initial airworthiness testing on the Boeing 747-8 freighter has
been completed, enabling test engineers to be on board during
future flights and allows the remaining two 747-8 freighter test

The Lindbergh Foundation announced that Jack Pelton, Chairman,
President and Chief Executive Officer of Cessna Aircraft Company,
has been selected to receive the 2010 Lindbergh Award. The
Foundation will recognize FedEx Corp. as the recipient of its
Corporate Award for Balance.
Contract Value Is Over $600 Million If Options Are
Rolls-Royce has been awarded a $75 million MissionCare contract
by the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for logistics
support for the Rolls-Royce AE 1107C-Liberty engines that power the
U.S. Marine Corps’ MV-22 Osprey and U.S. Air Force Special
Operations Command’s CV-22 Osprey.

fleet will grow, but only modestly, over the next 20 years, and the
fleet of piston singles and twins will likely shrink in the near
term before expanding again in the out years of the period.
Airline Becomes 33rd Customer For Newest Airbus Model Still In
United has formalized a commitment originally announced in
December 2009, signing a firm order for 25 A350-900 XWB aircraft.
The airframe of the twin-engine widebody under development by
Airbus will be comprised of 53 percent composite materials.
The FAA this week released an update of its NextGen
implementation plan ... an 84 page document available online as a
PDF file. The FAA says the update reiterates its vision for the
operational environment between now and 2018.
