Cessna Aircraft has received Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) certification for Garmin’s Synthetic Vision Technology
(SVT) for the Citation Mustang. SVT is now a FAA-certified option
for the Mustang and all G1000-equipped 172 Skyhawks, 182 Skylanes,
206 Stationairs and the Caravan product line.
As expected (and alluded to in previous ANN coverage), the
anticipated certification of Avidyne's next-generation flight deck
was not only around the corner... its right here, right now.
Avidyne has confirmed to ANN that they have certified their new
Entegra Release 9 Integrated Flight Deck (IFD) system. And not a
moment too soon...
Aspen Avionics is pressing forward with several upgrade options
to its product line, reportedly in direct response to feedback from
its more than 1,500 customers worldwide. These options are designed
to meet the needs of several customer segments, and reflect the
company’s customer-driven development focus.

GA-ASI Announces Successful First Flight Of Predator C
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. has started relating
details surrounding the first flightr of the Predator C Avenger.
The first flight of the new multi-mission jet-powered Avenger
occurred on April 4 at the company's Gray Butte Flight Operations
Facility in Palmdale, Calif.
After three days of completing Earth-commanded activities
without incident last week, NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Spirit
had a bout of temporary amnesia Friday, April 17, and rebooted its
computer Saturday, April 18, behavior similar to events about a
Digital Cyclone, Inc., a subsidiary of Garmin Ltd.), now offers
AOPA Airport Directory data and Canadian radar, METARs and TAFs on
Pilot My-Cast by Garmin, a cell phone based product that provides
critical aviation weather data and flight planning services.
A luminous giant elliptical galaxy typically found near the
center of a cluster of galaxies. D galaxies are similar in
appearance to ordinary ellipticals, but their brightness declines
more slowly with distance from the center, making them look as if
they have diffuse halos (the "D" stands for "diffuse".)
