Esterline Adds To Its Extensive Visual System Portfolio

Introduces New Glass-Mirror Collimated Displays

Esterline Simulation Visual Systems has been awarded a follow-on contract by CAE USA to provide glass-mirror collimated display systems for the U.S. Navy MH-60 Technical Refresh and Procurement of Simulators (TRPS) Program.

The total program includes nineteen Treality solid mirror, collimated display (CD) systems that will be installed over a four-year period. Each display system includes support structures, light tightening enclosures, collimating optics, projectors, a projector control system, and an automatic alignment system.

Esterline’s line of Treality collimated displays was designed using its world-class SimCAD software tool, which is recognized as the industry’s most capable and reliable collimated display design tool. SimCAD is optimized for both film and glass-mirror collimator display design.

Mark Saturno, Vice President of Sales for Esterline Simulation Visual Systems, commented: “Esterline continues to lead the way with high-performing, yet cost-effective visual display solutions for simulation. We invest heavily in product development to meet ever increasing demands for enhanced visual performance and lower total costs of ownership.  Our new glass-mirror CD is a great example of this, and we are excited to deliver this solution to the market.”

“Esterline is committed to offering the best simulation display systems to its simulation customers for all their applications," said Peter De Meerleer, Vice President of Strategic Marketing and R&D for Esterline Simulation Visual Systems. "We are pleased to complement our portfolio of film-based Treality CD-Series products with these new glass-mirror collimated display systems to also offer collimation  for applications with very large fields of view. Our new glass-mirror collimated display systems have been ergonomically optimized to provide the best-in-class training.”

Esterline Simulation Visual Systems is pleased to offer its Treality brand simulation and training product line. The Treality brand promotes  the design, development, manufacture and world-wide support of market leading, high-performance visual systems for military and commercial simulation solutions.
