Crossbow Technology Intros New Attitude Heading Reference Card

AHC525 Offers Highly Accurate Positioning

Crossbow Technology, a leading developer of "Stand-Alone" FAA Certified MEMS AHRS, announced Wednesday a new OEM "Single-Card" AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference.

The AHC525 "Level A certified" Attitude Heading Reference Card is billed by Crossbow as a "first of its kind" high performance embedded AHRS, specifically designed for integration within Glass Cockpit Systems, Flight Management Systems and Standby Attitude Indicators.

"The AHC525 embedded AHRS is creating exciting new opportunities for avionics systems developers," said Crossbow President and CEO Mike Horton. "By integrating the AHC525 inside the avionics system enclosure our customers are achieving significant reductions in overall cost, size, weight and power."

Crossbow's AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference Card offers 0.5 deg rms accuracy, and meets the AHRS TSO performance requirements without external aiding. A flexible architecture includes expansion options that allow for customer specific features and/or interfaces.

"Our years of AHRS design and manufacturing experience supporting the aircraft OEM and retrofit markets have enabled us to define the critical requirements leading to next generation AHRS solutions for the aviation industry," Horton said. "We are very pleased to be working with several major OEMs already."
