"We wish we understood the physics a little better."

Source: NASA's Chief Safety Officer, Bryan O'Connor, who along with NASA Chief Engineer Christopher Scolese voted "No Go" in last weekend's decision to send Discovery into orbit July 1. In an Associated Press interview, O'Connor said that while his vote does not mean astronauts will be in extreme danger as Discovery returns to space, scientists still do not fully understand the risks posed to the orbiter by foam insulation that remains in place over 37 so-called "ice/frost" ramps on the shuttle's external fuel tank.
