MSP Jet Center Introduces New Tech Services Team

Key Appointments Made In Minneapolis/St. Paul

Tim Ashenfelter, President of MSP Jet Center, LLC, and MSP's parent company, ASI Jet Center, announced recent key personnel appointments to MSP Jet Center's Technical Services Team based at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) on Tuesday.

The five newest members of MSP's Technical Team include Dan Henchal, A&P, Director of Technical Services, Terry A. Speight, A&P, Technical Team Lead, Dean Zimmel, A&P, Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Bob Kortum, A&P, Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician and Mike Blaschko, A&P, Aircraft Maintenance Technician.

"In the aviation maintenance business it's all about having the right people," Ashenfelter said. "And I can tell you that with Dan Henchal as our Director of Technical Services and the crew he has put together, we truly have the right guys on our team. I am very excited about our new business here at Minneapolis/St. Paul International and the opportunity to provide the best overall aircraft maintenance and upgrade experience to the business aviation community here in the Metro area and beyond."

Dan Henchal is the new Director of Technical Services. Prior to joining MSP Jet Center, Dan was the Service Team Manager Mid-Cabin Gulfstreams for General Dynamics Aviation Services. Previously, he was with Dallas Airmotive, Inc., for eight years as Regional Turbine Shop Manager for their Honeywell TFE731 Engine Major Service Center in Minneapolis. Dan has been trained in TFE731 Major, TFE731 Line, Flight Safety Astra/G100, G150, G200, GIV and G450. He is a member of the Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA).

Terry A. Speight, A&P will serve as Technical Team Lead. Prior to joining MSP Jet Center, Terry had been with General Dynamics Aviation Services in the Twin Cities for 11 years. Terry is a certified G200 Flight Safety Master technician. He has also received Flight Safety certificates for the Astra/G100, Hawker 700/800/800XP/1000, Gulfstream GIV/G450/G350, Citation 500/550 and Westwind. Terry is also Pratt & Whitney 306 Line Maintenance Factory certified. Prior to his career in business aviation maintenance, Terry served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force where he was the Crew Chief for helicopter airframe and powerplant maintenance.

Dean Zimmel, A&P is named Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Prior to Joining MSP Jet Center, Dean was with Senior Airframe and Powerplant Inspector for General Dynamics Aviation Services in the Twin Cities. Previously he was with Dallas Airmotive, Inc., and was with Mesaba Airlines for 18 years. Dean has also received certified training on the Astra G100/G200, Honeywell TFE731-20/40/60 Turbofan engines (Major and Line Maintenance), and Honeywell GTCP-Series APUs.
 
Bob Kortum, A&P also named Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Prior to joining MSP Jet Center, Bob had worked for 15 years as a Senior Aircraft Technician for General Dynamics Aircraft Services in the Twin Cities. Bob has received certified training on the Cessna Citation 650, III, VI, VII, Falcon 10/100/50/50EX and Hawker 700/800/800XP. He also specializes in comprehensive composite structure repair and is a certified TIG welder with titanium and stainless steels.
 
Mike Blaschko, A&P joins the team as Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Prior to joining MSP Jet Center, Mike was as Aircraft Technician for General Dynamics Aircraft Services in the Twin Cities.  Mike has received certified training on the Beechjet 400A, Falcon 20, and Hawker 700/800/800XP.  He also specializes in Westwind, Astra G100/G200, Falcon 20-5/50/200. Mike also has his Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
