FAA Grants STC For Garmin G600 RVSM In Cheyenne III, IIIA & 400LS

JetTech Modification Approved For Dual G600 RVSM Installation

The FAA has awarded an STC to JetTech for the installation of new Garmin G600 “Glass Panel” Dual EFIS installation specifically for Cheyenne III, IIIA and 400LS aircraft. The approved modification includes dual G600 RVSM primary instrumentation with RVSM capable ADC’s. The Garmin GTN 650 and 750 instruments, shown in the center panel stack, are available as an additional installation.

According to Rob Irwin, founder and member/manager of JetTech, the company will begin offering initial installations at its Denver, CO facilities followed by kits available through JetTech approved Garmin authorized dealers. “The new RVSM STC approved installation (pictured) will provide pilots with the highest degree of Situational Awareness in Legacy Cheyennes,” Irwin said. “The installation is rich in features including synthetic vision, terrain awareness, traffic collision avoidance systems, digital weather radar, satellite weather radar and lightning strike information.”

The installation includes additional major equipment upgrades such as the replacement of the existing “Iron Horizontal Gyros” with state of the art solid state AHRS (Attitude Heading Referencing System) Also included in the Installation kit is an AIU, pitot-static plumbing and fittings, precut pilot instrument panel and complete documentation to support the installation process.
