LightSPEED and Sensaphonics Partnering On Custom Ear Molds for Mach 1 Headset

Custom-Fitted Earpieces Now Available

LightSPEED Aviation and Sensaphonics Hearing Conservation, Inc., have announced a strategic partnership. The two companies have teamed to offer pilots (using LightSPEED’s Mach 1 headset) comfortable, personalized ear molds that stay in place.

Customized ear molds are an optional feature for Mach 1 customers, and provide superior ‘in-the-ear’ (ITE) comfort while blocking out ambient noise. A certified audiologist ensures the earpieces are fitted perfectly for each pilot’s unique ear canals. The soft, custom-fit silicone material isolates the ear and blocks out external noise to provide the ultimate in sound quality and hearing protection with the most comfortable in-ear material available.

“LightSPEED’s selection of Sensaphonics as our provider of custom in-the-ear molds for our Mach 1 headsets underscores our relentless commitment to delivering a superior ITE headset that is ultracomfortable while providing excellent sound quality,” said Jim Mueller, vice president of operations at LightSPEED.

“Our rigorous field tests with other ear mold technologies as well as ‘self-fitted’ designs, proved hands-down that Sensaphonics offered the best in-ear solution on the market. It’s easy to see why IRL and CHAMP drivers, NASA, and many major touring musical artists rely on hearing protection technology made by Sensaphonics.”

”We’re pleased to partner with LightSPEED in providing in-the-ear protection for Mach 1 customers. With the Mach 1 headset and Sensaphonics custom-fitted earpieces, pilots get unmatched noise reduction, even clearer sound and exceptional comfort,” said Michael Santucci, audiologist, founder and president of Sensaphonics Hearing Conservation, Inc.
