It looks like there is some new activity around the Piper
Altaire jet project, as Piper Aircraft will be holding a career
fair at Century II in Wichita, KS for a number of positions open at
the company's Vero Beach, FL manufacturing campus. The event is
planned for 0800-1800 on Friday, October 7. The company says it is
looking for a number of qualified and experienced aviation

“Most of our open positions are for a variety of
engineering disciplines but we also have other positions that are
available,” say Piper Director of Human Resources Ellen
Sobczak, SPHR. “We ask applicants to submit their resumes
online at jobs@piper.com prior
to being interviewed by the hiring managers who will be in
Wichita.”
All of the positions being recruited are located in Vero Beach,

Beach Towns” and one of “The Best Places to Live on the
Coast.”

Many of the positions that the company seeks will be for the
company’s new single-engine Altaire business jet which is
progressing toward its maiden flight in 2012, with certification
