Chinese Market Now Open To The Entry-Level BizJet
Embraer’s entry-level Phenom 100 executive jet recently received the Validation of Type Certificate issued by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
“Embraer has been strengthening its market position in China’s executive aviation market over the past few years,” said Guan Dongyuan, President of Embraer China. “CAAC’s certificate for the Phenom 100 is great news for Embraer and prospective customers. With a highly intuitive cockpit, docile handling and reliable systems, the Phenom 100 meets the needs of many customers, including single-pilot operators, flight schools and commercial operators alike.”
The Phenom 100's range of 1,178 nm with NBAA IFR fuel reserves means the aircraft is capable of flying nonstop from Beijing to Tokyo; from New York to Miami; and from London to Tunis.
The aircraft’s Prodigy flight deck with Garmin avionics enables faster and more intuitive flight planning. It is one of the first systems allowing pilots to send text messages through the aircraft’s avionics system and to receive them from mobile phones and e-mail servers. Embraer’s newly developed preflight iPad application, the iPreflight performance package, makes flight planning more convenient, safer and optimized with functions including access to valuable information such as airport and approach charts, NOTAMs and METARs. Its Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E turbofans are remarkably quiet and efficient, providing outstanding climb rate, fuel economy, range and best-in-class, high-speed cruise.
Embraer offers its customers seven stylish interior options designed in partnership with BMW Group DesignworksUSA, allowing customers to make their aircraft truly unique and comfortable. Its fuselage shape creates the highest and widest cross section in its class to give passengers more head and leg room. The private aft lavatory, the largest baggage compartment and the best air-stair door in its class are other features of this aircraft.
The outstanding performance makes the Phenom 100 the most delivered business jet in the world in recent years, with more than 150 units delivered worldwide since 2010. In June 2012, the aircraft was recognized by Robb Report as the “Best of the Best” in the entry-level business aircraft category, following its distinction in 2008, 2010 and 2011.
