Airborne 03.12.13: Anti-Aviation Idiocy, Cessna TTx Flies, More LAS Dogfighting

Signs of progress? Cessna's new TTx completed its first production flight on Saturday, March 2. The single engine composite aircraft departed from the Cessna facility in Independence, KS, and performed the flight in and around southeast Kansas.

As we previously reported Beechcraft has, without much surprise, formally protested to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) the USAF award of the Light Air Support contract to its Brazilian competitor, Embraer. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has hit a new low among those politicians who lately seem to have zeroed in on the biz jet industry as the root of all evil in the world and the cause of our nation's economic crisis.
