Blue Mountain Avionics has announced the
introduction of a significant upgrade to its popular EFIS/Lite
Electronic Attitude Display Instrument.
The EFIS/Lite is a self contained electronic ADI that now offers
four display modes: electronic Attitude, electronic HSI, moving map
and air data page. Malcolm Thomson, General Manager of Blue
Mountain Avionics says, "We have been selling the EFIS/Lite now for
over a year as an electronic replacement for the six primary flight
instruments. Many of our EFIS/One customers purchased the
EFIS/Lite as an independent backup unit to provide them with
redundant AHRS and dual displays. The addition of the EHSI and
moving map capability provides the option to install two
EFIS/Lites, one above the other, as an Attitude/EHSI
combination."
The EFIS/Lite Combo uses two identical EFIS/Lites, each
operating independently in any of the four available modes.
This provides the pilot with backup instruments for the
following: electronic AHRS and Attitude display, air speed, ground
speed, true air speed, altimeter, vertical speed, turn and bank,
slip indicator, all attitude magnetic compass and HSI, virtual VOR,
12 Channel GPS receiver, moving map and various air data
information.
The EFIS/Lite is available for $3500. The upgraded EFIS/Lite
with EHSI and Moving Map is priced at $4500 and includes a remotely
mounted magnetometer and small keypad. Existing customers can
easily upgrade to this new functionality by loading new software
and adding a small external keypad.
