Oh My, Dubai! Grob Nets spn Order From ZAS Z-Aviation Services

Two Plane Deal Also Includes Two Options

Aero-News has learned ZAS Z-Aviation Services of Egypt reached an agreement with ExecuJet Middle East to buy two spn light jets from Grob Aerospace. The agreement was signed by Niall Olver, CEO of ExecuJet Aviation Group and Sherif Zarkani, Founder and President of ZAS Z-Aviation Services on the opening day of the Dubai Air Show.

The aircraft, which will be delivered in 2009, will be operated by ZAS Z-Aviation Services. Options on a further two spn aircraft have been made for delivery in 2010, confirmed Omar Zarkani, Managing Director of ZAS Z-Aviation Services, who oversees the day to day running of the company.

"We selected the spn because it is an efficient, flexible and cost effective aircraft, easy to operate and very suitable for our region and beyond. It also offers a very generously sized cabin. We will fly the aircraft in a 6 and 8 seat layout, featuring the stylish cabin and cockpit designed by Porsche Design Studio," added Sherif Zarkani.

The deal was arranged by ExecuJet Middle East, the exclusive sales agent and distributors of the spn in the region, through its regional headquarters in Dubai.

"We are delighted to welcome ZAS Z-Aviation Services to our growing number of Middle East customers. Increasingly more and more established and start up companies are looking at the light jet market and we believe we have a terrific niche with the spn with its take off land anywhere capability and 1,800 nm range. The spn is also an ideal complement to larger cabin, long range business jets.  We are looking forward to working with ZAS very closely in the run up to service introduction and beyond," said ExecuJet Middle East Managing Director Mike Berry.

Grob anticipates certification of its upcoming light jet in 2008.
