ESMA Aviation Academy Orders Mechtronix Flight Trainers

Two Ascent Systems To Be Configured For DA-42

Mechtronix Systems is proud of its place as the fastest growing and third leading provider of flight training equipment in the world... and the company continues to look higher. This week, the company announced the purchase by ESMA Aviation Academy for two Ascent Flight Trainers.

These will be configured as Diamond DA-42 for its flight training facility based in Montpellier, France. The academy plans to use the easy to operate FNPTs to provide Instrument Rating (IR) training as the school renews its fleet with modern DA-42 that will be used to meet the growing training needs of its current training programs for its French, Vietnamese, Chinese airline cadets. ESMA has been heavily investing in the past two years in modern teaching aids such as these two last purchases.

Both Ascent Flight Trainers will feature a 150 x 35 degree visual system that will provide its users with exceptional fidelity. The units will be equipped with the latest autopilot technology Garmin GFC 700 providing more precision to the students' navigation. Additionally, the devices will feature a wider shell providing an ergonomic environment for easier interaction between the instructor and the student.

"We look forward to taking delivery of the state-of-the-art Mechtronix simulators giving us the possibility to offer the latest technologies to our students and further strengthens our leadership in France and worldwide," said General Director Mr. Jean Durand of ESMA. "These two key purchases will allow us to provide both our students and instructors with a state-of-the-art device for IR training. Mechtronix offers a high-end product at an affordable price allowing for high quality visual system, realism of actual flight environment and easy to operate and maintain."

"We are thankful that ESMA has chosen our Ascent Flight Trainers for their new training program. We are convinced that ESMA is now well equipped to offer the latest and best technologies there is for flight training", said Mechtronix' President Xavier Herve. "These two sales with ESMA reinforces Mechtronix leadership on the French market towards high end airline-oriented FTOs. These orders follow a series of successes in France with customers such as ATR and SEFA."

Founded in 1988 and taken over by De Heerd Investments Ltd in December 2006, ESMA is the only school in Europe to cover all requirements in the airline training field. The school offers a training syllabus in these four main areas: Pilots, Cabin Crew, Mechanics, Airport Ground Staff.
