Everything You Need to Know About The New Rotax 912 iS Presented By Leading American Rotax Expert, Phil Lockwood
Well-known Rotax engine expert Phil Lockwood will present his popular Rotax Aircraft Engine Forums next week at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport.
Lockwood (pictured) travels to airshows around the country from his home base in Sebring, FL, to present the forums, which are generally very well attended. The Lakeland show next week is the first of this season.
Lockwood will present two forums next week. On Wednesday at 1000 EDT, he will discuss the Rotax two-stroke engine at a session held in the new Paradise City area on the southeast section of the airport. He will inform listeners about fuels, specifically about the use of 100 LL avgas or ethanol mogas plus he will cover which oil products have proven well in company evaluations.
On Thursday, Lockwood will speak about the Rotax 9-series of four-stroke engine from 1000 to 1115 EDT in the same location. Phil will discuss the comparison test his company has been running on the AirCam where they installed a carburetor 912 ULS on one side and a fuel-injected Rotax 912 iS on the other. No one else has this info.
“So many improvements come with the Rotax 912 iS engine that pilots and mechanics alike will want to come and increase their awareness,” said Lockwood, who is president of Lockwood Aviation Supply, the number one Rotax service center in North America. All Rotax owners or aircraft mechanics may benefit by attending.
