Bahrain Parliament Minister Says Pilot Was Kidnapped By US

Accuses US Of Holding Him, And 35 Other Saudi Pilots, At Gitmo

What has become of Bahrain Air Force Lt. Col. Abdulaziz Saleh Sultan Sinan Al Dossary? The F-16 pilot disappeared a year-and-a-half ago when his plane disappeared during a night-training exercise over the Gulf. Officially, he's missing and presumed dead.

But now, at least one minister of Bahrain's parliament says he thinks Col. al Dossary was kidnapped... by the United States.

"I believe that the Americans are holding him with 35 other Saudi warplane pilots -- who also disappeared on the same night -- in one of their camps, maybe Guantanamo Bay or in the US," said Minister of Parliament Abdulaziz Al Moosa during Tuesday's session.

Bahrain's Gulf Daily News reports Minister al Moosa says when Colonel al Dossary disappeared, there was no distress call and no evidence that he ejected. No wreckage from his plane was ever found, in spite of a search by forces from the US, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

The search lasted almost three days, and covered an area five times the size of Bahrain itself. The Bahrain Parliament now wants answers from the country's executive branch... which has, so far, been silent on the subject.
