United Airlines reported in a statement last week that their CEO, Oscar Munoz, who has been on medical leave since October, underwent a heart transplant operation. It’s reported that a transplant was considered the preferred treatment and was not the result of a setback in his recovery. United said they expect him to return to his position at the end of the first quarter or the beginning of the second quarter of this year. British Airways has shelved a plan to turn household waste into biofuel in light of falling oil prices and the bankruptcy filing by its partner in the program. The airline had partnered with U.S.

First Flight Training Device To Be So Approved In That Country

Korea Aerospace University (KAU) has received Dah approval (the equivalent of FAA Level 6) on their Frasca Cessna 172S Flight Training Device (FTD). This is the first FTD to achieve this level of approval in Korea. The FTD was installed at the Korea Aerospace University Flight Training Center located on Jeju Island last month and will be used by KAL for initial pilot training.

Adcock Range National low-frequency radio navigation system (c.1930-c.1950) replaced by an omnirange (VOR) system. It consisted of four segmented quadrants broadcasting Morse Code "A" (dot-dash) and "N" (dash-dot) signals in opposing quadrants so that pilots could orient their position relative to a "beam" broadcasting a steady tone, and a Morse Code station identifier.
