SpaceX Signs Contract With Avanti Communications For Falcon 9 Launch

Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) told ANN Thursday it has signed a contract with the UK-based Avanti Communications Group (Avanti) for the launch of Avanti's HYLAS Ka band satellite to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO) on board a SpaceX Falcon 9.

Order Includes 10 737s, Four Dreamliners

It's a big order for Nigeria's newest commercial airline. On Thursday, Arik Air announced an order for 10 Boeing 737-800s, four 787-9s and one 777-300ER (Extended Range). The order is valued at approximately $1.8 billion at list prices.
