Garmin, New Piper Unveil New Glass-Panel Option For PA32 Fliers

G1000 Integrated Avionics Suite Now Optional On 6X, Saratoga

In a Tuesday morning conference at Lakeland 2007, Garmin announced that Piper Aircraft, Inc. has made the all-glass, fully integrated Garmin G1000 avionics suite available as an option on the Saratoga II TC and Piper 6X.

That AD currently requires removing from service certain disc assemblies before they reach their full published life if not modified with anticorrosion protection.

I think that's excellent customer service, given the fact that we were denied getting an aircraft into Sydney Airport given the curfew."

Source: Jetstar spokesman Simon Westaway, defending the Qantas low-cost subsidiary's handling of a domino-effect incident this weekend resulting from the late arrival of a Jetstar flight past the curfew time at Sydney International Airport. In the end, two flights were delayed... making for several unhappy fliers.
