JCAPF Takes Delivery of Frasca Level C FFS

The Japanese Civil Aviation Promotion Foundation (JCAPF) has taken delivery of their Level C King Air B200 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) from Frasca International, Inc. through Frasca’s Japanese representative, Euroheli Corporation Tokyo, Japan. The simulator features a six-axis motion system and four window collimated visual display system. The JCAPF will use the device for training commuter airline pilots, governmental agency pilots and private pilots.

Lakeland, FL, FireFighters Take 10 Minutes to Get To Crash

A Cessna 337 Skymaster, specifically reported to be a 1976 Cessna 337P, was involved in a takeoff from LAL's Runway 27 when it aggressively pitched up, achieving an altitude estimated at between 100 and 150 feet before rolling left and impacting the ground. The aircraft slid off the runway and into the grass where, after a minute or two, it caught fire and burned for nearly 10 minutes before Lakeland Firefighters arrived.

US Announces New Open Skies Aviation Agreement with India

Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta announced Friday that the United States and India have initialed a landmark Open Skies aviation agreement that will lead to more flights, lower fares and stronger economic ties between the two countries.  The agreement comes after three days of negotiations, launched by Mineta and India's Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel last Thursday.
