Burbank Group Orders An AW109 Power Helicopter

Australian Company Also Options A GrandNew Helo

Burbank Group of Australia has placed an order for one AW109 Power light twin helicopter, AgustaWestland announced Wednesday at EBACE. This aircraft will be used to perform corporate transport missions. The contract also includes an option for one GrandNew light twin helicopter.

Emilio Dalmasso, Senior Vice President Commercial Business unit, AgustaWestland said "It gives us great pleasure to add Burbank Group to the long list of operators who have chosen products from our range of light twins for corporate transport duties in Australia. Burbank Group will benefit from the unequalled levels of performance, comfort, safety and low operating costs the AW109 Power delivers." AgustaWestland boasts a growing presence in the Australian commercial helicopter market with almost 40 aircraft of various types, such as the AW119Ke, the AW109 Power, the Grand/GrandNew family and the AW139, sold for missions such as corporate transport, VIP transport, emergency medical service and off-shore transport.

The AW109 Power is powered by FADEC controlled twin turbine engines and redundancy in all critical systems, it can perform Category A Class 1 operations and has single or dual pilot IFR capability. Advanced integrated avionics, including a 3-axis autopilot coupled to the GPS, provide enhanced situational awareness and flight information whilst minimising pilot work load. The AW109 Power offers unmatched performance in speed, hover and rate of climb in single and twin engine flight.
