FAA Certifies 757-200PCC Combi Aircraft Conversion

Certificate Held By Precision Conversions Of Portland, OR

The FAA has granted an STC (Supplemental Type Certificate #ST02278SE) to Portland, OR,-based Precision Conversions for its 757-200PCC Combi variant. The Combi configuration includes 10 full cargo positions and seating for 54 passengers along with full galley and lavatory facilities. This is also the first certified 757-200 Combi in the world to include winglets.

"We are extremely delighted that the 757-200PCC Combi program has been successfully completed and I am proud of the hard work and effort that our team has put forth," said Gary Warner, Precision Conversions President.

The 1994, Pratt & Whitney powered aircraft (MSN 26273) is owned by Cargo Aircraft Management, Inc. (CAM), a subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG) and will be leased to and operated by Air Transport International, Inc. (ATI), also a subsidiary of ATSG, as a replacement for an existing DC-8 Combi aircraft.

Joe Hete, President and Chief Executive Officer of ATSG, said, "Our customers need a modern, fuel and flight-efficient aircraft and this 757-200PCC Combi delivers on that need."

"This new Combi joins several major achievements into one product," said Dave Steinmetz, Vice President and General Manager of Precision Conversions. "We are excited about all of the possibilities this variant offers the marketplace and will pursue additional worldwide regulatory approvals as needed."

Precision Conversions is in the process of marketing additional 757-200PCC Combi variants to worldwide government agencies, corporations and other operator entities that have a specialized need to simultaneously transport cargo and passengers in an efficient manner.
