Contributions Can Be Made Online Or At UAs AEA Booth
Universal Avionics will host a reception to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) during the 55th Annual AEA International Convention and Trade Show in Washington, D.C. The benefit will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 1:30-3:30pm in Universal Avionics’ Booth 201.
The WWP’s mission is “To honor and empower wounded warriors,” with a vision of fostering “the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.” While raising awareness for injured service members, the WWP also helps injured service members aid and assist each other, and provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. Your pledge will aid the WWP in their mission, helping thousands of wounded warriors returning home from the current conflicts and provide assistance to their families.
Contributions can be made online or in the exhibit hall at the AEA booth or Universal Avionics booth. Universal Avionics and AEA will match your contribution, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $5,000.
Those who make a pledge to the Wounded Warrior Project during Universal’s reception will also have the opportunity to have their photograph taken with the United States’ 12th Presidential Pilot, Colonel (ret) Mark W. Tillman, who served as Commander of Air Force One from 2001-2009. Col. Tillman was at the controls of Air Force One on September 11, 2001, keeping President Bush out of harm’s way and connecting the flying oval office to the nation’s first responders. He was also the first pilot to fly the Commander-in-Chief into a war zone. The challenge was unprecedented – it was a “Zero Fail Mission”.
Hear Col. Tillman’s keynote address, “Zero Fail Mission”, sponsored by Universal Avionics, at the opening ceremonies of the 55th Annual AEA International Convention and Trade Show.
