Sino Swearingen Launches Final SJ30-2 Flight Test Aircraft

SSAC Says It Is On Schedule For Certification In Second Half Of This Year

Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corp. (SSAC) said Thursday it recently made the first flight of the third and final FAA conformed flight test aircraft for FAA certification.

One of the company's three test aircraft is used for systems tests, performing certification requirements on electrical, hydraulic, bleed air systems, etc. The second aircraft is the aerodynamics and performance test aircraft, flying tests to determine minimum flight speeds, handling qualities, measuring climb performance, and determining high Mach number cruise capabilities. The third aircraft is used to test function and reliability, avionics, systems, interior, and various other FAA requirements. On several occasions, all three aircraft are launched within minutes of each other showing the aggressive flight test program and its rapid progress.

"This is a huge and exciting milestone for Sino Swearingen Aircraft," said Dr. Carl L. Chen, CEO and President of SSAC. "Now that this third aircraft and the other two are flying almost every day, we are closing rapidly on the last portions of the FAA certification."

This amazing team has completed all critical high speed FAA flight testing including; high speed flutter dive testing to Mach .90, stall speed testing at 91kts, maximum high speed cruise testing (Mmo) at Mach .83 and more. Over two and a half years ago, we projected certification for the second half of this year and we are on time and on schedule to meet that deadline. Thanks to the hard work and tireless efforts from all of our dedicated employees and the FAA we are consistently making our goals."

Alfred Baumbusch, Senior Vice President Operations said, "Serial number 0005 is the first aircraft to be built using major production tooling and production personal that will be used for all future customer aircraft. This aircraft entering service proves our capability to manufacture and deliver high quality SJ30-2 aircraft to future customers."

Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation is certifying the new high performance, SJ30-2 corporate twinjet in San Antonio, TX, with 425 employees in four facilities totaling over 220,000 sq ft in the USA Coast To Coast. The Company continues spectacular acceleration of the FAA certification projected to be final in the second half of this year 2005. The new Sino Swearingen SJ30-2 business jet is an outstanding performance, long range, intercontinental, twinjet aircraft with an incredible 2,875 sm range and one of the highest cruise speeds in the industry Mach .83 (560 mph).
