Manufacturers, Distributors Team Up To Showcase LSA’s In Colorado

Ft Collins, Denver, Front Range & Colorado Springs Are The 2011 Colorado LSA Tour Destinations

Building on the success of the previous tours in Florida and Georgia, seven LSA manufacturers and distributors are continuing their flying “roadshow.” Colorado is the next destination for the tour. Timed to coincide with the Colorado Pilots Association Rocky Mountain LSA expo at the Front Range Airport, the intrepid collaborators have scheduled stops in four airports within the state.

“This tour has created an intimate atmosphere for purchasers to see planes, without the noise of a show” said Bill Canino of SportairUSA, one of the participants. “We meet people who are looking to make that jump to aircraft ownership, but are unable to get to traditional aviation events” according to Dave Graham at Legend Aircraft. “It’s a great format for explaining how easy and affordable it is to get involved with aviation,” said Chris Dillis of Skyraider Aviation, one of the tour hosts.

“This is the perfect way to show our customers the diversity of Light Sport Aircraft and what they are all about,” Dillis added.

The group has scheduled four stops. They are:

Day / Date  Location Host
Thu May 12th   Ft. Collins Loveland (KFNL) Ft Collins Jet Center
Fri May 13th Centennial Airport, Denver (KAPA) Denver Jet Center and Skyraider Aviation
Sat May 14th Front Range Airport (KFTG)  Colorado Pilots Assoc.
Sun May 15th Meadow Lake Airport (KFLY)  EAA Chapter 72

As in previous tours, each venue will open to the public at 1000 each morning. The roadshow concludes with a Q&A session with a panel of experts at 1800 each evening.
