Newlywed Joy Turns To Shock And Sorrow

Husband, Stepson Lost In North Texas

Sunday morning, Jennifer Noel thought she had it all -- a new husband who married her in a beautiful chapel, a wedding reception in a hangar and a stepson she loved very much.

Sunday evening, her joy turned to ashes as her husband of just six weeks, Billy, and his 15-year old son, Alex, were killed flying home from Oshkosh. The Denton Record reports Billy and Alex were less than ten minutes from landing at Grayson County Airport.

"I can't believe he's gone," Jennifer told the Record Tuesday evening. "He was so alive. He was magic. He made me laugh."

Jennifer and Billy had just bought a home at Ironhead Airfield, near Sanger (TX). Neighbors like Ben Houston were stunned at the accident as well.

"He was exuberant, life-loving, friendly," Huston told the paper. "The kind of guy you liked to sit and talk to about airplanes – or anything."
