FAA Awards Safety Office Program Management Contract

TASC, Inc. To Provide Program Management, Financial Analysis, Engineering

Systems engineering firm TASC, Inc. has won a multi-million dollar subcontract to provide financial and program management services and technical engineering support to the FAA Air Traffic Organization's (ATO) Office of Safety.  The subcontract, awarded as part of a $124 million task order contract to CSSI, Inc., is valued at $12.5 million for one base year and four one-year options.

"TASC has provided the FAA a deep bench of experts in different areas for more than 20 years," says Pamela Drew, vice president of enterprise systems at TASC.  "We know that sound financial and program management is essential to aligning financial, human and technical resources with the ATO's goals for the long-term sustainment of its safety initiatives."

Under the subcontract, TASC experts will help the Office of Safety with budget analysis, formulation, execution and monitoring, while supporting its efforts to continually improve business processes.  TASC will also provide technical engineering and acquisition support.

TASC already supports other aviation and aviation safety initiatives through several FAA contracts, including FAA's Automation Technical Assistance Contract (TAC2), ATO-T Program Management, and NAS Implementation Support (NISC).
