Xtreme Vision Now Compatible With iPad, Android

Delivers Free Traffic, Weather To Portable Cockpit

SkyVision Xtreme, LLC Wednesday announced support for iPad and Android devices in its ADS-B traffic and weather system. The company’s trademark product, Xtreme Vision, brings together ADS-B technology, PC-based devices, and now the iPad tablet computer and Android mobile devices. This combination delivers a wealth of information to the cockpit and is designed to enhance a pilot’s situational awareness as well as aid in-flight management.

The SkyVision Xtreme ADS-B connectivity package for the iPad or Android device can be configured to use an operator’s existing equipment or can be purchased as a complete system. It provides a patent-pending, intuitive synthetic vision traffic display to maximize heads-up time in the cockpit. In addition, the display seamlessly enables delivery of subscription-free weather.

Xtreme Vision can display simultaneously on multiple iPad, Android, and/or Windows devices. The connection is made via wi-fi so there are no cables, nor are there any connectivity or multi-user charges, which is common in the software industry. Currently, SkyVision utilizes the popular BenQ mobile PC, a compact yet powerful portable device, to display and control its custom Windows-based software. The application runs on systems from pocket PCs to desktops.
