NATA Chief Arranges Viewing... For Those Who Should See It
Most
by ANN Correspondent Pete Tobin
His movie has already become an iconic presence at AirVenture
2006... and now, Producer/Director Brian J. Terwilliger has been
invited to screen his beautifully woven documentary about Van Nuys
Airport, called "One Six Right" on Capitol Hill on September
22nd.
This is important to general aviation because not only is this a
fantastic film about a specific airport, it is also a passionate
and moving film about the love of general aviation as a whole and
does discuss issues and ramifications of the loss of general
aviation.
This opportunity for one of our own to meet with Washington
power brokers was arranged by Jim Coyne, the President of the
National Air Transportation Association (NATA).
Coyne is a former member of Congress and taught at Wharton
School of Business. Coyne has been an extremely effective spokesman
for general aviation and is very active on the possibility of the
general aviation user fee issue.
Not only is "One Six Right" a great film for pilots to watch, it
is also a really positive film for non-flying audiences -- and may
help aviators express why they have so much love for aircraft and
the ability to fly.
Although Brian is not a political activist per se, he has given
general aviation a powerful tool to help with challenges and
conflicts that flying is facing in today's world.
Besides... the movie "One Six Right" is a really nice addition
to anyone's DVD library.
