KSAT Receives Three Bomb Threats Saturday

Caller IDs Specific Dallas Flight

The San Antionio International Airport received several calls Saturday morning threatening a bomb in its Terminal One about 1030 local time, that identified a specific Dallas-bound flight.

SAT spokesman David Hebert declined to identify the airline involved. Passengers were evacuated from the affected flight and the aircraft was taken to a "safe zone," Hebert said. Airport police and a canine unit thoroughly searched the plane and found no bomb.

More than 100 passengers on the aircraft were detained, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

Police are investigating potential connections to two Friday incidents -- one at the White Rabbit, a live music venue in San Antonio. About 10 pm, a caller used a pay phone on a street corner outside the club to say bombs were inside, club owner Richard Sciaraffa said. About 700 people were evacuated.

Around the same time, police said, a separate caller used the same pay phone to threaten a Fiesta fundraiser for the San Antonio AIDS Foundation at the San Antonio Art Museum prompting the evacuation of about 2,000 people in attendance.

No bombs were located at either place.
