Sporty's Online Course Student Earns Certificate

Took Rec Pilot Checkride Less Than One Week After Course Launched

Less than a week after Sporty's Online Courses were launched, Carl R. Chen completed his course and received an endorsement from Sporty's to take his written exam. Things move fast these days... and Chen recently passed his written and oral tests and his recreational pilot checkride, making him the first new pilot to prepare for these tests by using Sporty's Online Courses.

"I am pleased to report that with the Online Course's help, I scored a 94 percent on the Recreational Pilot written exam," said Chen. "I definitely feel that I received my money's worth with this course." Chen added the ability to sign on to his course from any computer was a definite advantage over having to carry DVDs around.

Chen plans to continue his flight training towards his Private Pilot License.

Sporty's Online Courses are able to issue endorsements because Sporty's can track that the customer has watched all video segments as well as assess the grade received on a minimum of two practice tests. Sporty's Academy President Eric Radtke said, "With the built-in tracking functions of the course, we are able to assure students' proficiency when we issue the sign-off."

The Recreational Pilot Course [RWEBA] and the Transition to Private Pilot [TWEBA] are each available for $99; the Private Pilot Course [PWEBA] is available for $199, and the Instrument Rating Course is available for $249. Multi-user licensing is available to flight schools.
