New Positions

Raytheon announced promotions and new positions last week for three of their experienced personnel. Congratulations to Tony Marlow, Brad Stancil and Don Mercer.

Tony Marlow has been appointed General Manager of the Van Nuys facility for Raytheon Aircraft Services (RAS). Tony will be responsible for overall management and operations for the FBO including fuel, maintenance, avionics, refurbishment and modifications.

Marlow began his career in 1978 at Beechcraft West in Van Nuys as an assistant line manager and is now a 27 year veteran of Raytheon Company. He has served Raytheon in many capacities, most recently in the areas of marketing and operations for Raytheon Travel Air and Flight Options. His latest assignment was Vice President - Business Development for Flight Options, where he managed the development of new product strategies. He also served as Vice President - Operations for both Flight Options and Raytheon Travel Air as well as Director of Marketing for Raytheon Travel Air. Tony has held positions for Raytheon Aircraft Company in the areas of strategic planning, King Air and piston marketing, and was also a marketing acceptance pilot, experimental flight test pilot and flight test engineer.

"Tony's extensive Beechcraft and Hawker background give him a broad understanding or our customer's needs. His commitment to customer service and satisfaction supports our efforts to provide world class service for our aircraft owners and operators," said Skip Madsen, vice president for RAS.

Marlow received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a master's of business administration from Wichita State University. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot's certificate and is also a basic, instrument and multi-engine flight instructor. He has accumulated approximately 5,700 hours of worldwide flight experience.

Brad Stancil has been appointed Vice President, Domestic Beechcraft Sales for Raytheon Aircraft Company (RAC). Stancil will be responsible for the sale of Beechcraft Bonanza and Baron products, Beechcraft King Air products (the 350, B200 and C90B), as well as the Beechcraft Premier I and the Premier IA, in the U.S. and Canada. He will also be responsible for managing RAC's relationship with its domestic dealers.

Stancil brings a wealth of experience to this newly created post after a 23 year career at Raytheon Aircraft Company/Beechcraft in a variety of sales and sales support positions. His latest assignment was Vice President, Piston Engine Aircraft Sales and Resale Sales, during which he made tremendous progress in executing a new resale organization. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds a bachelor of science in finance. In this new role, Stancil will report to Don Dwyer, Vice President, Global Beechcraft Sales.

Don Mercer has also been appointed to Director, Beechcraft Resale. In this capacity, he will be responsible for coordinating the acquisition, refurbishment and ultimate sale of RAC's trade-in aircraft.

Mercer has 17 years at Raytheon Aircraft Company/Beechcraft in a variety of sales and sales support functions. Most recently, he was Manager of Pre-owned sales for the Beechcraft business. He is also a pilot, typed in the Beechcraft Premier I, the Beechcraft King Air 350 and the Beechcraft 1900 Airliner.

Mercer is a graduate of the University of Miami with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He will report directly to Randy Groom, President and General Manager, Beechcraft Business.

"Brad and Don have extensive experience with the entire Beechcraft product line, and both are committed to meeting our customers' needs. These organizational changes will allow the Beechcraft sales team to focus more attention on strategic growth opportunities in both domestic and international markets," said Randy Groom, President and General Manager, Beechcraft Business.
